During the Dhwapar Yuga, Kansha sent the demon, Putana, to end the young Krishna’s life. Putana fed the baby with poison-laced breast milk, but it was Pushana who passed away instead of Krishna. After Putna’s death, a legend circulated that Bajrabasi held a celebration of Fagu as an expression of joy.
In Nepal, Holi is also known as Fagu and is celebrated within the Nepali tradition as Hindu culture and ended on Wednesday this year.
The event was from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, March 11th at Nepali Cultural Center, Westminster, Colorado where Nepali Ghar provided fruit, Jeri-Puri, and vegetables as prasad.
