The new executive committee of the Buddhist Society of Colorado has assumed responsibility.

The newly elected officers of the Buddhist Society of Colorado were handed over during a ceremony hosted by the society.

Secretary Sanjay Shakya officially launched the organization’s new working committee in front of adviser Chandraman Gurung. The committee members were treated to lunch by Counselor Gurung, who also expressed his best wishes for their tenure.

The task force divided the work for the effective completion of the Buddha Puja and Peace Walk on May 13th during the first meeting, which was presided over by Shyam Kumar Shrestha. Buddha Puja Rimpoche Gyan Dorje (Basant Gurung), stage-managed by Sonam Sherpa and Tech Bahadur Thapa, and prasad distribution under the supervision of Shanti Lama and Pema Dolkar Shrestha, were given the task of carrying it out.

The organization, which was established in Colorado in 2017, hosts events every year to celebrate Buddha Jayanti. A downtown Denver peace walk is one of these initiatives. The 2647th Buddha Jayanti will be celebrated this year on May 13 at the Downtown Civic Center with a number of events, according to Secretary Shakya.

The organization’s president, Shrestha, sent an open invitation to all participants in order to ensure the program’s success and decency. This included government representatives, dignitaries, intellectuals, businesspeople, philanthropists, artists, journalists, and regular citizens.
