August 20, Nepal participated in the festival called Global Fest 2016 organized by the city of Aurora through Rocky Mountain Friends of Nepal, CO.
About 40 countries from different parts of the world participated in the festival with their various cultural and traditional dresses.
Among the various programs of the festival, Nepalese introduced Nepal’s various traditional and cultural dresses in the fashion show. The presenter of the program gave details about the unique nepali Dhaka Topi along with each and every dresses introduced by the Nepalese community of Colorado.
General Secretary of Rocky Mountain Friends of Nepal, Binod Raj Tripathi presented Nepal walking with the national flag of Nepal in the most important program of the festival “Parades of Nation”.
“Due to delay in communication, Nepal was not able to show the cultural performances.” said advisor of Rocky Mountain Friends of Nepal, Ramesh Gurung. He further stated that participation was satisfactory according to the expectation.
