The Nepalese community of Longmont organized the picnic program along with other different activities to keep up peace and harmony among each other on Saturday in Longmont Colorado.
The program was held by the Nepalese families and Himalayas Lion’s Club of Longmont. Mayor Dennis Coombs, City counsellor Joan Peck, District Governor of Lion’s NE 6 Ken Noor, President of Rocky Mountain Friends of Nepal Sharad Acharya, President of Nepali Ghar Yograj Gautam, Ex-President of NepaliGhar Narayan Shrestha President of NRN Colorado Chapter Basudev Khanal guests were in the program.
In addition, other guests were President of Nepali Janasamparka Samiti Colorado Chapter Ganeshraj Bhandari, President of Prawasi Manch Jagat Shrestha, President of International Literature Society Bhupendra Mahat, President of Newa Khala PremKaji Shrestha, Social-Worker Surendra Shrestha, Shailesh Pokharel of BRT Nepal, Bikal Parajuli of USNEPAL News, Actor Nabaraj Shrestha, Singer Mahesh Budhathoki, Nepali Hollywood Film Maker Jaswant Shrestha with many other personnels were present in the program.
The program was organized in the pleasant environment in one of the beautiful park of Longmont. President of Lion’s Club Joshan Shrestha welcomed the guests and stated that the program was held for the maintaining peace and harmony among each other within the Nepalese community.
Singer Pramod Shrestha, Sanjay Pradhan, Purna Shrestha, Sharad Acharya and others entertained with various songs. Purna Shrestha orgainzed ‘Bingo’ for the participators.
Various entertaining programs like Musical chair, Spoon and ball for kids and Adults Musical chair, Tug of war etc. were held. The winners were honored. Foods were sponsored by PremKaji Shrestha of Everest Restaurant and other Nepalese helping hands.
